The board of directors is responsible for ensuring our community amenities are maintained, enforcing compliance with community by-laws, and managing the fiscal affairs of the Homeowner's Association. Board members are volunteers from our community, giving their time for the benefit of everyone. WIthout their dedication, our community could not be what it is today. Board members generally meet every other month for approximately one hour, email is used to address community issues between meetings. Some of the functions of the board are as follows:
In addition to our Board of Directors, our community is served by several officers of the association. These individuals carry out many of the most essential functions of our community.
- Keep a complete record of all its acts and corporate affairs
- Supervise all officers, agents, and employees
- Set the amount of the annual assessment
- Procure adequate liability and hazard insurance
- Maintain common areas
- Cause all rules and regulations to be published and distributed
- Provide resale disclosure packets
- Homeowner questions, concerns, issues, etc. will be worked on a case by base basis
In addition to our Board of Directors, our community is served by several officers of the association. These individuals carry out many of the most essential functions of our community.
PresidentThe President shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors; shall see that orders and resolutions of the Board are carried out; shall sign all leases, mortgages, deeds and other written instruments and shall co-sign all checks and promissory notes.
TreasurerThe Treasurer shall receive and deposit in appropriate bank accounts all monies of the Association and shall disburse such funds as directed by resolution of the Board of Directors; shall sign all checks and promissory notes of the Association; keep proper books of account; cause an annual audit of the Association books to be made by a public accountant at the completion of each fiscal year; and shall prepare an annual budget and a statement of income and expenditures to be presented to the Membership at its regular annual meeting, and deliver a copy of each to the Members; prepare or cause to be prepared the disclosure packet required by Section 55-511, et seq. of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended; and prepare or cause to be prepared, and verify by oath such liens for delinquent assessments as permitted by Section 55-516 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, and to further take such actions as necessary to perfect said liens in accordance with said Section 55-516.

Vice PresidentThe Vice President shall act in the place and stead of the President in the event of his absence, inability or refusal to act, and shall exercise and discharge such other duties as may be required of him by the Board.
SecretaryThe Secretary shall record the votes and keep minutes of all meetings and proceedings of the Board and of the Members; keep the corporate seal of the Association and affix it on all papers requiring said seal; serve notice of meetings of the Board and of the Members; keep appropriate current records showing the Members of the Association, together with their addresses, and shall perform such other duties as required by the Board.
